A few months ago, I stopped by Tanya Zuckerbrot’s (MS, RD) office in midtown to pick up some PB2. I read Tanya’s book The F-Factor Diet (F stands for fiber!) back in 2007, but I just recently discovered her email newsletter and website: Skinny and the City. I signed up to receive the daily email packed full of useful information for a busy, 20-something like myself. In addition to the daily email, the Skinny and the City website features archived diet & nutrition tips, restaurant reviews, healthy recipes, and fashion & beauty articles. It’s a great resource for eating healthy, looking pretty, and feeling your best. Check it out!
From the July 4, 2009 Skinny and the City Newsletter and Website:
For all of you who love going back for seconds or thirds of dessert, check out this recipe: delicious grown-up popsicles! Make them for your weekend picnic!
More of a sweet ‘n salty snacker? Before you hit up those yogurt covered raisins again (hint: they’re not so healthy!), try these chocolate covered figs (hint: they are so healthy!). Enter our contest to win a box. Then take them to the movies or the beach…
…and stow them with your seaside beauty essentials — we don’t go sunning or swimming without them — for a perfect summer’s day.
Something else we don’t leave home without, no matter the season? Our morning cup of coffee! Check out the new research that will have you reaching for a refill. Then check out all of our readers’ picks for their favorites brews.
And finally, when you pull up a stool for happy hour with your peeps, don’t forget to order some food. That’s right: It’s ok to eat bar food. We tell you how — and more importantly, tell you the calorie shockers to avoid!
